3.1 the objects of the charity (the ?objects?) are for the public benefit:-3.1.1 to advance education in the arts within, in particular, the communities of tavistock and surrounding areas of devon and cornwall, through the development and maintenance of a contemporary arts centre, currently known as the wharf, in tavistock; and3.1.2 to promote and enrich the educational experience of all pupils and students of tavistock schools by helping them to develop a wider appreciation of art and the diversity of cultural issues within society.
