the promotion for the benefit of the public of any charitable purpose directed to allievating those who have lost, through death caused by epilepsy, a relative or friend; the promotion of support and mental and physical research and education (to be widely disseminated) into sudden unexplained death due to epilepsy and matters relating to the nature of grieving and bereavement. the promotion of any charitable purpose directed to supporting and alleviating the mental and physical distress of those who are bereaved following the death of someone with epilepsy including research, education and influencing change to improve the treatment of bereaved families.the promotion of any charitable purpose to improve understanding and communication to people with epilepsy, their families, professionals, policy-makers and other interested parties concerning prevention of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (sudep) and all epilepsy-related deaths including research, education and influencing change to improve the treatment of epilepsy, recognition and management of risks and, in due course, to minimise the occurrence of such deaths.
