to relieve sickness and promote and protect good health in england and wales by:a) promoting the early detection of cardiovascular related diseases including but not limited to deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism; coronary heart disease; congenital heart disease and cerebrovascular disease;b) raising awareness of the disease in the community and supporting and encouraging early diagnosis; andc) providing such grants and donations for persons diagnosed with a cardiovascular related disease for such items and equipment or treatment which is not available from current statutory provision and which is beyond the means of such persons as the trustees shall think fit.
