any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the general or any specific purposes of king's college hospital nhs foundation trust or the purposes of the health service (as described in s1 of the nhs act 2006 or any statutory modification of that section) to improve the facilities that can be offered to babies on the neonatal unit, based at kings college hospital relieving in cases of need persons who are patients, or who are recovering from illness after having been patients, of any hospital within the kings group. for the purpose of cancer research and treatment at kings college hospital for the general purposes of kings college hospital the trustees shall hold the fund upon trust to apply the income and, at the trustees' discretion and so far as may be permissible, all or any part or parts of the capital for such charitable purposes relating to:1) hospital services (including research); or2) any other part of the health serviceand, in either case, associated with king's college hospital, as the trustees think fit. the purposes of the new charity are described in the memorandum and articles of association. the objects of the charity are:(a) any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the general or any specific purposes of the foundation trust or the purposes of the health service (as described in section 1 of the nhs act 2006 or any statutory modification of that section);(b) the promotion, protection, preservation or advancement of all or any aspects of the health and welfare of the patients and the service users of the foundation trust; and(c) the advancement and promotion of knowledge and education in medicine, including by engaging in and supporting medical research (and the dissemination of the useful results).
