Objects:

see individual constituents for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to hospital services (including research) or to any other part of the health service associated with any hospital, as the trustees think fit. for any charitable purpose or purposes, principally (but not exclusively) at or in connection with the royal national throat, nose and ear hospital, which will further the following aims: (a) the investigation of the causes of sickness and disability and the prevention, treatment, cure and defeat of sickness and disability in all its forms. (b) the advancement of scientific and medical education and research in topics related to sickness and disability (provided that the useful results of any research must be submitted for publication). (c) the furtherance of any other charitable purposes for the relief of persons suffering from sickness and disability. the trustees shall hold the trust fund upon trust to apply the income, and at their discretion, so far as may be permissible, the capital, for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the national health service wholly or mainly for the royal national throat, nose and ear hospital to combine the investments and moneys belonging to the charities and representing expendable funds into one pooled fund (for further details of charities involved see scheme) to combine the investments and moneys belonging to those charities referred to in the schemes and representing permanent endowment into one pooled fund (for further details of charities involved see schemes) the relief in need of patients of the trust following their discharge from any hospital for the time being administered by the trust as stated in section 93(2) to 93(3) of the national health service act 1977 as amended or re-enacted from time to time as stated in section 11(1) of the national health service and community care act 1990 as amended or re-enacted from time to time a common investment fund the relief of need of patients (including discharged patients) of any hospital for the time being administered by the trust during their recovery process 3.1 the objects of the charity are, for the public benefit:(a) to further any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the general or any specific purposes of the foundation trust or the purposes of the health service;(b) to promote, protect, preserve and advance all or any aspects of the health and welfare of the public, particularly within the catchment area of the foundation trust; and (c) to advance and promote knowledge and education in medicine, including by engaging in and supporting medical research.3.2 this article 3 may be amended by special resolution but only with the prior written consent of the commission.
