3. the objects of the cio are for the public benefit:to promote the constructive treatment of prisoners, offenders and ex-offenders, to promote the prevention of crime and the relief of those in need, hardship or distress for the public benefit by such charitable means as the trustees see fit from time to time in particular but not exclusively by:a) creating safer communities by reducing re-offending;b) preventing those at risk of offending from entering the criminal justice system;c) addressing the causes of crime including the prevention and relief of poverty;d) supporting the families and children of offenders; ande) supporting victims of crime.
