the charity’s objects (‘the objects’) are specifically restricted to the following:1. to promote public appreciation, development and taste in the arts in particular by:a) the production of plays or other artistic performancesb) the encouragement of arts, including the arts of drama, mime, dance, singing and musicc) formulating preparing or establishing art projects or schemes in furtherance of such purposesd) assisting or supporting other charitable institutions for the benefit of those living in the locality of pontypridd and rhondda cynon taff for charitable purposes2. to advance education for the public benefit in the arts and in other subjects at the trustees discretion including welsh language, culture and heritage.3. to advance, preserve and safeguard welsh culture, heritage and the welsh language, by any such means as trustees see fit including the promotion of welsh arts.4. to advance in life and help young people, though:(a) the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;(b) providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.5. for the public benefit the provision and maintenance of the muni arts theatre at pontypridd for the use of the inhabitants of the locality without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, counselling and support, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.6. to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.for the purpose of this clause ‘socially excluded’ means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one of more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; youth or old age; ill health (physical or mental); substance abuse or dependency including alcohol and drugs; discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, believe, creed, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment; poor educational or skills attainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic habitable standards; crime (either as a victim or as an offender rehabilitating into society).7. to further such other purposes as are exclusively charitable according the law of england and wales as the directors in their absolute discretion from time to time determine.”
