"the objects of the cio are:1. to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of fagley and the neighbourhood (hereinafter called the ""area of benefit"") without distinction of:a. being or becoming a transsexual personb. being married or in a civil partnershipc. being pregnant or having a childd. disabilitye. race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national originf. religion, belief or lack of religion/beliefg. sexh. sexual orientationor any other protected characteristic as may be determined by law from time to time, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organizations in a common effort to advance education and training, prevent and relieve poverty, aid economic and community development and procure employment, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.2. to establish, or secure the establishment of, a community centre (hereinafter called ""the centre"") and to maintain and manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in furtherance of these objects."
