to improve, promote and encourage agriculture for the public benefit by the improvement of the breeding of horses, cattle and sheep and the demonstration, exhibition and showing of livestock, machinery, crafts, products, methods and processes connected with agriculture and agricultural education in particular by holding an annual agricultural show and supporting students undertaking land based vocational courses by way of annual bursaries.
