Objects:

the objects of the cio arefor the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of domestic pets in particular but not exclusively by:a) actively assisting and supporting owners in the search for lost or stolen pets;b) promoting humane behaviour towards animals by providing security, protection and care as appropriate for animals in need by reason of injury, sickness, neglect or abuse;c) educating the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008]
