1 to promote the christian faith as part of the church of england and in accordance with the values and tenets of the anglican communion summarised in resolution 11 of the third lambeth conference following the chicago-lambeth quadrilateral namely;i) the holy scripture of the old and new testaments as “containing all things necessary to salvation,” and as being the rule and ultimate standard of faithii) the apostles’ creed, as the baptismal symbol; and the nicene creed, as the sufficient statement of the christian faith;iii) the two sacraments ordained by christ himself – baptism and the supper of the lord – ministered with unfailing use of christ’s words on institution, and of the elements ordained by him;iv) the historic episcopate, locally adapted in the methods of its administration to the varying needs of the nations and peoples called of god into the unity of his church2. the relief of the poor in the project area either generally or individually through the provision of grants, goods or services according to the mission, values and tenets of the church of england
