the objects of the cio are:1. the protection and preservation of the environment for the public benefit by:a) the promotion of waste reduction, reuse, reclamation, recycling, use of recycled products and the use of surplus;b) raising awareness and educating the public about all aspects of waste generation, waste management and waste recycling.2. the relief and assistance of people in any part of the world who are the victims of war, natural disaster, trouble, or catastrophe in particular, but not exclusively, through the provision of survival equipment to such persons.for the purpose of this clause ‘survival equipment’ refers to anything necessary to ensure a person can meet their basic needs including, but not limited to, food, shelter and clothing.3. the prevention or relief of poverty in the uk by providing items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty
