the objects of the cio are:the advancement of education for the public benefit in particular by providing for the education, care and recreation of children aged 5 to 14 years - making facilities and services available to them, especially out of school hours and in school holidays, with the aims of improving their social mobility; raising attainment and aspiration; and improving their life chances.the prevention or relief of poverty for the public benefit in particular by improving the life chances and choices of children aged 5 to 14 years; providing facilities and services for their benefit; providing educational support; raising attainment and aspiration; supporting them to develop skill-sets; and by providing a greater awareness of careers opportunities.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008]
