purposes relating to the provision of healthcare wholly or mainly for the day surgery department at addenbrookes for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the provision of healthcare wholly or mainly for the dental department at addenbrookes hospital for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the provision of healthcare wholly or mainly for the radiology department at addenbrookes hospital for any charitable purpose or purposes principally (but not exclusively) at or in connection with addenbrookes hospital which will further the following aims:a) the investigation of the causes of arthritis and the prevention treatment cure and defeat of arthritis in all its formsb) the advancement of scientific and medical education and research in topics related to arthritisc) the furtherance of any other charitable purpose or purposes for the relief of persons suffering from arthritis for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the provision of healthcare wholly or mainly for the sports injury clinic at addenbrookes hospital for the relief of sickness of patients who are or have been treated on ward c5 of addenbrookes hospital and for the relief of sickness at ward 5 of addenbrookes hospital by promoting the efficient performance of their duties by the staff of that hospital for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the provision of healthcare wholly or mainly for the main operating theatres at addenbrookes hospital for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the provision of healthcare wholly or mainly for the audiology clinic at addenbrookes to combine the investments and moneys belonging to the charities and representing expendable funds into one pooled fund (for further details of charities involved see scheme) the relief of sickness of patients served by the cambridge university hospitals national health service foundation trust and in particular, but without limitation by supporting the work of the radiology department at addenbrooke's hospital 1. to relieve patients and former patients of addenbrooke's hospital cambridge and other invalids in the community who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm or in need of financial assistance and generally to support the charitable work of addenbrooke's hospital and in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing words.2. to supplement the services provided by addenbrooke's hospital for the health, welfare and comfort of patients therein and in the community by:(i) providing or assisting in the provision of such facilities, buildings or equipment (including the funding of alterations thereto) as may be required for the efficient running of the hospital and the treatment of its patients.(ii) funding or assisting in funding additional healthcare staff at addenbrooke's hospital or working in the community served by the hospital.(iii) funding or assisting in funding medical research carried out at addenbrooke's hospital or any institution or body working in collaboration with the hospital including making grants to individuals engaged in such research and the purchase of equipment used in such research for any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the provision of health care wholly or mainly for the relief of sickness at addenbrooke's hospital by providing playscheme facilities for staff at that hospital to promote health and relieve sickness by facilitating the sharing of skills available in cambridge university hospitals nhs foundation trust (""cuhft"") and in any other part of the nhs associated with cuhft with hospitals and community healthcare organisations working overseas, and so developing the expertise and understanding of healthcare professionals working in such nhs entities for the benefit of the public to increase the efficiency of addenbrooke's hospital in the city of cambridge (including any other hospitals homes or institutions administered in connection or in association for the nursing and other staff, amenities for patients and visitors and furthering medical development and research and providing maintaining and equipping any buildings in circumstances under which public funds are not available at the hospital and by purchasing or leasing any land for the purpose. the objects of the charity are, for the public benefit:(a) to further any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the general or any specific purposes of the foundation trust [being the cambridge university hospitals nhs foundation trust or its successor] or the purposes of the health service [as defined in section 1 of the national health service act 2006];(b) to advance and promote all or any aspects of the health and welfare of the public; and (c) to advance and promote knowledge and skills in health care, including by engaging in and supporting health-related research (and the dissemination of its useful results), education and training."
