the assistance of distressed gentlewomen of the roman catholic faith particular consideration being given to those in the city of salisbury. the advancement or maintenance of the roman catholic religion in the roman catholic diocese of clifton. for the provision of a roman catholic church together with a presbytery and a church hall and for a car park and for such other charitable purposes as shall advance the roman catholic religion in the roman catholic diocese of clifton. the perpetual maintenance of the society of the sisters of charity of st. vincent de paul in their industrial school at salisbury to establish and endow an institution for the maintenance and education free of cost of as many roman catholic orphan girls as the income will permit. the maintenance education and training of students for the roman catholic priesthood. investment fund for the charities specified in the scheme and charitable trusts administered by the clifton catholic diocesan trustees registered the charity's objects are any such charitable purpose or purposes for the public benefit as in the opinion of the bishop may be conducive (whether in the diocese of elsewhere) to:(a) the advancement or maintenance of the roman catholic religion;(b) the advancement of the education of the public in accordance with the principles and doctrines of the roman catholic religion particularly by the provision and support of schools and other educational establishments that:(i) are conducted in accordance with the principles and subject to the regulations and discipline of the roman catholic church; and(ii) give preference to the education of roman catholic children or the children of roman catholics;(c) purely as ancillary to (b) above, facilities for the education of the public;by such means as the directors, with the approval of the bishop, shall think fit.
