1.to hold and preserve historic narrow gauge steam locomotives and related equipment, primarily but not exclusively the locomotive ôgelertö (bagnall works number 3050 of 1953) for the public benefit and to acquire additional such items.2.to preserve maintain operate display and exhibit the trustæs artefacts to promote public knowledge, education, appreciation, interest and understanding of narrow gauge railways, steam locomotives and related equipment.3.to advance the education of the public by preserving and providing instruction in the traditional operational and engineering skills involved in running and maintaining in service narrow gauge steam locomotives and ancillary equipment, and by providing opportunities for direct participation in those activities.
