1 to promote the care, maintenance and preservation of the fabric, fixtures and fittings of grade 1 listed st john the baptist church, edlingham, northumberland;2 to further or benefit the residents of edlingham and the neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. in particular by the reordering of the church to provide such a centre for the activities promoted by the charity and in furtherance of the objects3 to advance the education of the public in the heritage of edlingham in particular by improving access to the church and edlingham castle being of historical or constructional importance for the benefit of the public.
