1. to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects with a focus on brass band music, in particular but not exclusively for the benefit of those in the dyffryn nantlle area of gwynedd, by any means the trustees see fit, including by: a) providing tuition regarding the technicalities of how to play a brass instrument both individually and as part of a band, alongside the theoretical aspects of reading music b) enabling members of the public to learn to play brass instruments and providing opportunities for the playing of brass instruments c) the presentation of public concerts and recitals. 2. to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of dyffryn nantlle in gwynedd, and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.
