the objects of the cio are:(a) for the public benefit to advance the education of people under the age of 25 years living in a developing country (including but not limited to malawi, sri lanka, zimbabwe, south africa and nepal) in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including by awarding to such persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of secondary, higher or further education, for the advancement of community development.for the purposes of this clause, 'community development' could include public health, education, development, human rights, environmental studies and related subjects.(b) to help young people living in developing countries (including but not limited to malawi, sri lanka, zimbabwe, south africa and nepal) through providing support and activities (including mentorship and volunteering opportunities and learning exchanges) for the public benefit which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in and contribute to society.(c) for the public benefit to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged communities in developing countries (including but not limited to malawi, sri lanka, zimbabwe, south africa and nepal) in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, the needs of their communities and to participate more fully in society.(d) to help young people living in socially and economically disadvantaged communities in developed countries (including but not limited to the united kingdom and australia) through providing support and activities (including mentorship and volunteering opportunities and learning exchanges) for the public benefit which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in and contribute to society.
