the objects of the cio are: the advancement of health and saving of lives for the public benefit by the advancement of health development by means of the provision of grants to organisations that:a. research the causes (knowledge and understanding) of the basic scientific (preclinical) causes of disease and clinical disorders;b. promote primary prevention and early treatment (secondary prevention) of disease and clinical disorders;c. provide rehabilitation of patients (tertiary prevention) following hospitalisation to reduce disability from disease and clinical disorder.
