the objectives of the cio are:to relieve the suffering and emotional distress amongst parents and families resident in england and wales who have experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death, sudden infant death syndrome, illness, infection, accident, or terminal illness, in particular but not exclusively by:-(a) supporting newly bereaved parents by the provision of memory boxes, memory books and keepsakes.(b) providing or assisting in the provision of items to hospital units not otherwise made available by the nhs.(c) providing practical advice and information.(d) raising awareness of sudden infant death syndrome.
