Objects:

(1) the relief of sickness at hospitals and health centres in the democratic republic of congo, including the community health work of such hospitals and health centres, through the work of the baptist community of the river congo, including the extension and re-equipment of the said hospitals, with priority being given to assisting the hospitals in bolobo, kimpese, ntondo, pimu and yakusu.(2) for the relief of sickness in angola for the benefit of any retired or incapacitated baptist missionary society missionary or worker abroad or any such belongings to the china inland mission or any retired baptist minister. for the benefit of such aged poor infirm or necessitous people or pensioned folk of small means as shall be from time to time selected by the trustees. to provide a bursary for a student training for missionary work. to the baptist missionary society for the promotion of the gospel in india and more particularly in the province of cachar. in the printing and distribution of religious texts and books in connexion with the baptist denomination. for the general purposes of the baptist missionary society. defraying the cost of the repair and maintenance of any home administered by the baptist missionary society for missionaries employed by the society who are homeless and on furlough or for retired missionaries. for the maintenance and support of one or more native missionaries or evangelists in africa, india or china. to be used for the special needs in hospital work e.g. building programmes and the purchase of hospital equipment. to fund medical work in the upper regions of zaire, but if that is not possible, then in such other field as the society may select to use the income to benefit the women's work of the bms the provision of housing for retired missionaries whose health has suffered during their services abroad or, insofar as this is not reasonably possible, for the general purposes of bms. to build or extend and equip a hospital ward in one of the bms' partner countries. if there are no hospitals needing help at the date of death of mr teager to use the funds for the purpose of assisting in the housing of missionaries retiring from the mission field to use the income to benefit the general use of the bms to respond financially to emergency situations principally beyond the british isles to enable the baptist churches to respond to the call of god throughout the world by pursuing the following objects: a) to make known the gospel of jesus christb) to prevent and relieve povertyc) to relieve sickness and promote and protect healthd) to advance educatione) to alleviate human suffering caused by disaster overseas the provision of accommodation for missionaries on home leave the charityæs objects are to enable baptist churches to respond to the call of god throughout the world by the following:3.1 to make known the gospel of jesus christ;3.2 to prevent and relieve poverty;3.3 to relieve sickness and promote and protect health;3.4 to advance education; and3.5 to alleviate human suffering caused by disaster overseas.
