the relief of poverty for the public benefit of people in sub-saharan africa caused by a lack of, or insufficient access to, a clean and adequate source of water. this shall be achieved in particular but not exclusively by providing access to borehole water, educating the public on irrigation, sanitation, hygiene and nutrition, and promoting access to schooling.
