"to advance the christian faith in accordance with the statement of beliefs appearing in the schedule hereto to sunderland, tyne and wear and in such other parts of the united kingdom or the world as the trustees of the charity (herein called ""the trustees"") may from time to time think fit.to relieve persons who are in conditions of need or hardship or who are aged or sick and to relieve the distress caused thereby in sunderland and in such other parts of the united kingdom or the world as the trustees may from time to time think fit. to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of sunderland, tyne and wear and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants."
