the charitable purposes of the company are:the advancement of education and science by coordinating and promoting educationalinitiatives in science, technology, engineering and maths to encourage more youngpeople to be able to study, work and live in cumbria and the north west of england,and be able to take advantage of the training, careers and job opportunities available inthe colleges, universities, companies and technology based industries in the country. itwill do this in the following ways:1. by raising funds to deliver formal and informal educational programmes in schoolsand in community settings.2. by delivering outreach programmes to engage disadvantaged and difficult to reachgroups.3. by acting as a central coordinating hub for information, resources and advice.4. by operating an advanced technology centre of excellence known as the cecatsscience centre.5. by working with the corporate sector to identify ways of delivering careers advice,work experience and a knowledge of the career opportunities available to young peoplein cumbria.
