Objects:
the objects of the cio are:(1) to relieve sickness particularly, but not exclusively, by funding or supporting organisations which work to improve the detection, treatment and development of cures for cancer; by supporting organisations which offer services to relieve the impact of cancer on individuals, families, friends and carers and by making provision (directly or through other organisations) for financial aid in hardship for people in the construction and built environment sectors affected by cancer.(2) to preserve and protect the health of people in the construction and built environment sectors particularly but not exclusively, through advice and support programmes which help people to deal with the impact of cancer and aid in the detection or prevention of cancer.(3) to advance the education of the public in health, particularly but not exclusively through developing or supporting programmes (including commissioning of research) for the construction and built environment sectors to promote health and wellbeing particularly but not exclusively in order to reduce the risk of cancer.
