the objects of the cio are, for the public benefit:-(1) for the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention by:-a) caring for and re-homing animals that are abandoned, mistreated or lostb) providing veterinary care and treatment for animalsc) promoting kindness to animalsd) preventing or suppressing cruelty to animalse) relieving the suffering of animalsf) providing an animal sanctuary for animals in need of protectiong) supporting such registered charities concerned with the welfare of animals as the trustees see fit from time to timeand(2) to advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of england and wales) as the trustees see fit from time to timenothing in this constitution shall authorise any application of the property of the cio for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with the law of england and wales.
