the objects of the isabel’s voice cio are: 1.the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by: a.the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religion; b.conducting or commissioning research on equality and diversity issues for young people in local authority care and publishing the results to the public; c.cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity. 2. to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing young people in local authority care from becoming socially excluded, by ensuring they have access to services that will assist them to integrate into society. for the purpose of this clause ‘socially excluded’ means being excluded from society, or part of society, as a result of being a member of a socially and economically deprived community, particularly “looked after” young people who are under local authority care.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008].
