the purposes of the charity are:-to promote humane behaviour towards exotic animals by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among such animals.this will be achieved through various activities of the charity including:-a) improving the care of specimens of exotic species particularly in, but not limited to, the locality of the area around derby, england, by providing advice and support for owners;b) where deemed necessary, rescuing and rehoming animals that have suffered or are at risk of suffering maltreatment or a lack of proper care;c) raising awareness of and educating the public about such animals and their care through activities such as allowing members of the public to encounter exotic species in a safe and responsible environment for both people and animals;provided always that such purposes are for the public benefit and comply with all relevant legislation in force from time to time.
