the objects of the cio are for the public benefit:1) the provision of almshouse accommodation in the properties known as the lybbe’s almshouses for the benefit of persons who are aged 60 years or over who are in need or financial hardship and who are resident in or have a connection to the parish of goring on thames, in particular the ancient parishes of goring on thames, checkendon and whitchurch.2) such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents of the almshouses of the cio or any of them and in such manner as the charity trustees think fit from time to time.
