the objects of the cio for the public benefit are: 1) to advance the education of the public by fostering and promoting an understanding, knowledge and appreciation of the arts, in particular but not exclusively by organizing courses, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, events and other such means determined by the trustees2) to advance the education of the public in the arts by providing, creating, developing, and supporting museums, libraries and archives which further public education and appreciation of the arts.3) to promote, the arts, culture, heritage, in particular but not exclusively, that of south asia, by organizing cultural events for the public, festivals, exhibitions, concerts, poetry slams and theatre productions.4) the promotion of education and advancement in life of young artists who are in need of financial assistance and support by providing awards, bursaries and scholarships and organizing and supporting retreats and residencies (in arts and literature) for such individuals.
