1) to advance the education and development of children and their parents/carers living in swindon and the surrounding area by providing: a) child development and parenting skills training to parents/carers of children with challenging behaviours, diagnosed and undiagnosed conditions including autism spectrum disorders, children in care, adopted children, and families where there is domestic abuse, poverty, social isolation, substance misuse and/or mental health issues; b) safe group play and other activities designed to support children’s social and emotional development.2) to promote social inclusion for the public benefit in swindon and the surrounding area by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society, in particular through the provision of a family support centre, delivery of accredited training programmes, and one-to-one advice and support. for the purpose of this clause ‘socially excluded’ means being excluded from society, or part of society, as a result of being a member of a socially and economically deprived community.
