the objects of the cio are to promote for the benefit of primarily but not exclusively the inhabitants of the community of north brixton and the surrounding area and, in particular, those inhabitants in need of relief from financial hardship due to their social and/or economic circumstances by associating together the said inhabitants and the statutory authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to improve facilities and service provision in the interests of social welfare, community cohesion and improving conditions and life chances for local residents.
