1.to relieve poverty and financial hardship among children and their families and carers in the united kingdom, and to promote the health and improve the conditions of life of such children, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of grants and other assistance as the charity trustees think fit to charitable and other relevant bodies to enable such bodies to provide healthy nutritious meals outside school or nursery hours and outside school term-times to children whose families or carers could not otherwise afford to do so;2.to advance in life and relieve the needs of children and young people in the united kingdom in the interests of social welfare who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of grants and other assistance as the charity trustees think fit to charitable and other relevant bodies to enable such bodies to provide recreational and leisure time activities designed to improve the conditions of life of such children and young people; and3.to advance the education of the public in the united kingdom on the subject of food poverty among children, its effects on educational outcomes for those children and its impact on society, and the most appropriate ways to mitigate these effects, in particular but not exclusively by the promotion of research for the public benefit in those subjects and the publication of the useful results.
