the objects of the cio are: social inclusion 1. to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded meaning being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one of more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; youth or old age; ill health (physical or mental); substance abuse or dependency including alcohol and drugs; discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation or gender re-assignment; poor educational or skills attainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic habitable standards; crime (either as a victim of crime or as an offender rehabilitating into society) and assisting them to integrate into society.2. the promotion of social inclusion among single parents and their children, who are excluded from society, or parts of society, due to their social and economic position by the provision of a crþche, play scheme and drop in support and education centre to enable single parents and their children to develop and gain new skills.advancement of religion1. the advancement of the christian faith in such parts of the united kingdom or the world as the trustees may from time to time think fit including through providing services for prayer and worship and pastoral care and outreach into the community.young people1. to advance in life and help young people through:(a) the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;(b) providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.2. to help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.3. to act as a resource for young people up to the age of 16 living in south wales by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;(b) advancing education;(c) relieving unemployment;(d) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.
