"to promote social inclusion for the public benefit in the uk and worldwide by preventingpeople from becoming socially excluded, and by relieving the needs of those who aresocially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.for the purpose of this clause, ""socially excluded"" means being excluded from society, or apart of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors: unemployment; financialhardship; ill health (mental or physical); discrimination on the grounds of ethnic origin,religion, belief, creed, race, disability, gender, sex, or sexuality; poor educational or skillsattainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does notmeet basic habitable standards); substance abuse or dependency; or crime."
