to support and empower deaf and hearing-impaired children and young adults from birth up to the age of 30 and their families, through the provision of:a) recreational and leisure facilities that promote communication, interaction, social skills, independence and well-being (physical and mental)b) training opportunities that will improve life chances, capacities and capabilities to enable participation in society as independent, mature and responsible individualsc) one to one and group support and advice that fosters independence, well ûbeing and skills learningd) deaf awareness, sign language and other courses to promote increased understanding of hearing loss by alle) working in partnership with other agencies and the wider community to meet our memberæs needsf) signposting or referring onto other agencies as appropriate so as to support the needs of our members and wider communityto deliver the above through a participation framework, which is to take place predominantly but not necessarily exclusively in hertfordshire.
