for the public benefit, particularly but not exclusively in africa and other low/middle income countries (lmics):(1) the relief of sickness and the preservation of health, particularly but not exclusively by promoting the sharing of healthcare knowledge and skills and assisting in the provision of medical treatment;(2) the advancement of education in healthcare, in particular by the delivery of quality improvement and leadership training in a healthcare context and other health- related education and training to those involved in health and care delivery at all levels and to the wider public, and by raising awareness of global health issues; and (3) to develop the capacity and skills of members of socially and economically disadvantaged communities in lmics in which the cio is working, in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more in society.
