the object of the cio is: to preserve and protect the mental/emotional health and wellbeing of people residing in south lakeland who are struggling with mental/emotional health issues in particular by: a) the provision of a drop in and befriending service offering support, understanding, companionship and signposting, information and advocacy services in a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment. b) raising awareness among the general public of issues relating to the preservation and protection of good mental/emotional health and wellbeing by the provision of such activities or information as the trustees shall deem appropriate.
