1. to educate the public about the history and heritage of the glider pilot regiment (gpr) and its activities during world war ii and in post war years, in particular but not exclusively by:a. cataloguing documentary evidence and recording the oral histories of those who served in the regiment;b. engagement with media, museums and educational institutes;c. conducting research and sharing the useful results of such research and sharing of information as appropriate;2. to promote good citizenship by commemorating the sacrifices of those members of the gpr who died in service during world war ii by establishing and maintaining such memorials as shall be thought fit and funding remembrance services and events.3. to relieve gpr veterans who are in need by reason of their age, ill health or disability or social or financial circumstances or other disadvantage and in the case of bereavement of a veteran, to provide non-financial support to relieve the distress of their families.
