to promote, within the county of cheshire, the health of the general public in respect of disorders of the prostate, including cancer, by:-- promoting awareness of prostate cancer through events at public venues such as supermarkets, shows etc. and by giving presentations to organisations such as masonic lodges, rotary clubs, u3a and probus - providing a network of practical and emotional support to patients diagnosed with prostate cancer and their families- making private psa tests available to as many men in cheshire as possible- working closely with leighton, our local hospital and nationally, with tackle (national federation of prostate cancer support groups), macmillan cancer support and similar organizations to lobby for better resources to improve patient diagnosis and care and reduce the prostate cancer death toll
