the objects of the charity (the 'objects') are specifically restricted to the promotion of such charitable purposes for the public benefit as the trustees shall think, including but not limited to:(a) to advance the health and saving of lives for the benefit of the general public and in particular the promotion of medical research into the causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, alleviation and cure of diseases of the chest and lungs, diseases of the brain and nervous system and cancer.(b) to advance the arts, culture and heritage for the benefit of the general public in the north of england.(c) to advance the education of the general public in the north of england in relation to arts, culture and heritage. (d) to advance community development for the benefit of the general public in and around the lake district national park.(e) the prevention or relief of poverty for the benefit of the general public in and around the lake district national park.(f) the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in and around the lake district national park.
