the objects of the cio are: 1) the relief of unemployment for the public benefit in the black country in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment. 2) to promote social inclusion for the public benefit in the black country by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society, in particular but not exclusively by: • providing advocacy services to those individuals who are socially excluded or at risk of being socially excluded; • providing information, advice and guidance to such individuals; • providing access to resources, facilities and services to individuals who are socially excluded or at risk of being socially excluded; • promoting mental health awareness; and • promoting and supporting access to, and raising awareness of, mainstream statutory and voluntary services. for the purpose of this clause ‘socially excluded’ means being excluded from society, or part of society, as a result of being a member of a socially and economically deprived community.
