4.1 the objects of the foundation are to promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment, in particular but not exclusively by:4.1.1 purchasing land that is worthy of conservation to place in trust for future generations;4.1.2 planting woodland to a high forestry standard;4.1.3 maintaining woodland held in trust for future generations;4.1.4 ensuring that woodland supports a diverse ecosystem and is species-rich;4.1.5 engaging with local communities to promote understanding of and enjoyment of the woodland;4.1.6 where possible, creating woodland which is open and enjoyable by all; and4.1.7 collaborating with scientific researchers to understand the long term impact of planting choices made and disseminating the results of such research.
