the object of the cio is: 3.1 for the public benefit the relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of good health among persons suffering from motor neurone disease (“the condition”), their families and carers, in particular by: 3.1.1 the provision of support, grants of financial assistance and information to people affected (directly or indirectly) by the condition through clinical, hospice or other forms of palliative care; and 3.1.2 the promotion and funding of research into the nature, causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure of the condition, the useful results of which will be published.
