1) the objects of the charity is the relief of employees and former employees of the group and their dependants who are in need, hardship or distress.2) if and in so far as the income or expendable endowment of the charity cannot be applied towards the object specified in sub-clause 1 above then the trustees may apply it in relieving:a) persons who are in need, hardship or distress; andb) persons in need who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm by relieving their suffering or assisting their recovery.3) the trustees may relieve those eligible for assistance by:a) making grants of money to them; orb) providing or paying for goods, services or facilities for them; orc) making grants of money to other persons or bodies who provide goods, services or facilities to those eligible for assistance. 3.1 the object of the cio is the relief of former employees of h p bulmer holdings plc and its subsidiary companies and their dependants who are in need, hardship or distress.3.2 if and in so far as the income or property of the cio cannot be applied towards the object specified in clause 3.1 above, then the charity trustees may apply it in relieving:3.2.1 persons who are in need, hardship or distress; and3.2.2 persons in need who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm by relieving their suffering or assisting their recovery.
