3. objects3.1 the trustees shall hold the capital and income of the trust fund upon trust to apply the income and all such part or parts of the capital for the public benefit at such time or times and such manner as the trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit for or towards:3.1.1 the relief of cases of indigence or distress among all classes of members of the institute and dependants of deceased members of the institute in whatever class; 3.1.2 the maintenance, education, support and encouragement of qualifying children of members, of any category, of the institute;3.1.3 the provision of pensions to qualifying members of the institute; and3.1.4 the provision of support for members or membersæ dependents in extenuating circumstances where it can be shown that there is a need for financial assistance; 3.1.5 notwithstanding the foregoing the trustees shall recognise the needs of children pursuant to clause 3.1.2 as being the primary object of the charity.
