the objects of the cio are, for the public benefit in the uk, hungary, romania and amongst hungarian or romanian diasporas elsewhere:1. to advance the christian faith (in accordance with the statement of faith appearing in the schedule)2. to prevent or relieve poverty3. to promote equality and diversity4. to promote human rights (as set out in the universal declaration of human rights and subsequent united nations conventions and declarations)these objectives are to be achieved, mainly but not exclusively, by any of the following means:a) supporting and enabling reconciliation projects bringing people together across cultural, faith and linguistic divides;b) assisting in the planting of new churches for minority communities; c) supporting and enabling cross-cultural and or ecumenical youth and children’s activities or those providing specifically for minority communities or people with disabilities;d) providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient;e) assisting in the provision of relief, practical support and advocacy for asylum seekers and refugees;f) assisting in the provision of projects to both prevent and rescue the victims of human trafficking.g) facilitating cross-cultural pastoral exchanges between clergy or other church leaders;h) facilitating cross-cultural educational exchanges between theological lecturers and students;i) facilitating church twinning between the uk, hungary and romania.
