the objects of the cio are to act as a resource for:3.1.1 children and young people especially the marginalised, dis-enfranchised and excluded; and3.1.2 the residents of gloucestershire in particular (but without limitation) the residents of the cheltenham borough council wards of st peter’s, st paul’s and swindon village (as those wards constituted on 31 march 2020), by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:3.1.2.1 advancing in life and helping children and young people by developing their skills, capabilities and capacities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;3.1.2.2 advancing education;3.1.2.3 relieving unemployment;3.1.2.4 providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for those persons who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons; and3.1.2.5 advancing the christian religion.
