Objects:

the object of the cio is for the public benefit to relieve the needs of people with down syndrome, their families and carers, in york in particular by: (a)offering personal support to new parents or parents with an antenatal diagnosis;(b)hosting a monthly session (the 3-21 saturday club) where families can come together to talk and play;(c)the provision of weekly early development group’s for children from birth to pre-school delivered by trained professionals;(d)the provision of chatterbox sessions (weekly speech and language groups) delivered by trained professionals to improve speech;(e)supporting research that is dedicated to any aspect of living with down syndrome, and;(f)raising awareness of down syndrome and providing education, information, support and training in the specific needs and abilities of people with down syndrome for their parents/carers and professionals.
